about Janelle

Janelle's journey began in Lima, Ohio, but her life has been a whirlwind of experiences across various states. From Ohio to Louisiana, then to South Carolina, and finally settling in Indiana since 2002, she's accumulated an array of experiences.

Janelle's educational journey mirrors her lifestyle, attending multiple schools until settling in Fishers, IN, where she graduated from Hamilton Southeastern High School in 2006. Following her passion, she pursued cosmetology education at Honors Beauty College, graduating in January 2009.

Her affiliation with SBG started when Tony acquired his initial four SportClips locations in Indiana. This marked a significant transition for Janelle, setting the stage for her remarkable journey within the company.

Her professional journey began at Trade Secret during her cosmetology schooling, but it was her work at SportClips on Michigan Road that truly shaped her career path. From there, she managed the IN116 Willow Lake location from 2010 to 2013 until the arrival of her first daughter, Harper. Afterwards, she transitioned to managing the IN109 SportClips, balancing her career with motherhood.

In 2010, Janelle embarked on a new professional chapter with Sawyer Business Group (SBG). Her experience has evolved into the role of Area Manager in 2021, where she orchestrates  communication among managers and stylists, manages product orders, approves schedules and financial logs, handles hiring and training, and provides invaluable support in navigating challenging situations.

Throughout her career, Janelle has left her mark in various SportClips locations, including Michigan Road Carmel, Willow Lake Indianapolis, and German Church shops Indianapolis, IN.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Janelle finds fulfillment in her hobbies, which include indulging in literature, challenging herself on her Peloton, exploring new destinations, and proudly identifying as a "Swiftie."

However, her greatest joys lie outside the realm of work. Janelle cherishes her roles as a devoted wife to Travis, celebrating 14 years of marriage this fall, and as a mother to Harper and Nora. Harper, age 10, shines in her athleticism as she excels in the Indiana Gators Premier Softball travel team and recently ventured into travel basketball. Meanwhile, 7-year-old Nora revels in her passions for cheer, dance, and gymnastics, eagerly anticipating cheerleading in the fall. 

Janelle brings a diverse background, problem-solving abilities as an Area Manager at Sawyer Business Group, making her an invaluable asset to our team.
